Due to the location of the goiter(tumor) it was decided not to biopsy it for there is no way they could remove it. It is the size of a softball and involves the trachea, larynex, heart, etc. After stabilizing lung blood clots they will concentrate on shrinking the tumor with nuclear medicine, during this time she will be sort of in isolation. If all goes as planed, medically she might be released and sent home middle, or so, of the coming week. Barb is upbeat about things and when she talked with me this a.m. we had several good laughs.
