Barefoot run to summit of Bear Peak terminated at about 1000 vertical feet due to this. They call it Bear Peak for a reason. Just prior to this, I witnessed a mother black bear with two cubs. The mother was clearly not aggressive and retreated into the woods with her cubs. Moments later, I caught this brief video clip of a third cub. The cub was approaching me, so the mother certainly would not be far behind. So needed to quietly descend immediately. #Bearfootrun
