Barrington Partnership for Animal Welfare Barrington residents...At 10:30 this morning one of our feral cats - Pretty Girl - almost lost her life to a Wiley Young Coyote. Had I not seen it happening out the window in front of me & run outside it is very unlikely she would have gotten away unharmed. From Barrington residents who should know better than to have their cats outside running around I often hear but I only let them out during the day... This was 10:30 in the MORNING! Coyotes are out & about all hours of the day in town. This is not an anti-coyote post. Love them & love seeing them ... This is a dose of reality for the people who will call desperately searching for a beloved missing feline family member. Whenever possible cats belong indoors! Feral kitties that are truly too wild to live indoors without extreme stress are the only exception to that rule.
