Barry conquered the stairs this week and went for his first walk outside yesterday. This after nine months of being housebound, our building does not have an elevator. We walked the halls for months until he was strong enough to take on the stairs and he did it. I am honored to have been part of this process, his determination and positive energy throughout, never complaining, never feeling sorry for himself, is truly awe inspiring.
