Bathinda to reverberate with Vibrant VIBGYOR on Jan 30, 31 Baba Farid group of institutes announces to hold international fest Chandigarh, January 24: Baba Farid Group of Institutes Bathinda will be hosting a vibrant international fest VIBGYOR 2014 on January 30 and January 31 at its campus. Decked with all the elements of entertainment and knowledge, the fest will acquaint its participants to international experiences of art, science, technology, culture, knowledge, music and literature. Students from all premier institutes like IITs and IIMs will be competing in different competitions, said the managing director BFGI Gurmeet Singh Dhaliwal, deputy director academics Dr Manish Bansal and assistant director Gaurav Garg addressing media persons here today. On January 30, the Minister for Rural Development and Panchayats, Surjit Singh Rakhra will inaugurate the fest. The chief guest of valedictory function on January 31 would be deputy chief minister Sukhbir Singh Badal, while education minister Sikandar Singh Maluka will preside over the function. The famous Pakistani singer Arif Lohar will deliver a special performance, while singers Harbhajan Mann and Kanwar Grewal will present live performances.Dhaliwal said main attractions of event would be performances of International Act Tannura from Egypt, African Acrobatics, Global Village - a cultural display of various countries, International Kite Show, international group dances, Sumo Fighting Game by F2 race way, Indian folk cultural group dances of different states, Paint Ball Game by F2 race way, crazy scientists from Ukraine, Gatka, hot air balloon, thrilling bike stunts. Besides this there would be competitive events that will have participants competing for Rs 2.2 lacs of prizes. One of major component would be the Management Fest of VIBGYOR that contains amazing business and management competitions along with attractive fun filled events with prizes more than Rs. 1.25 lacs.
