Be careful what you pray for. I ask the Lord to use me as a witness, so today, He did. It wasnt my neighbor, my dry cleaner, or my grocery clerk. It wasnt a troubled friend, an unsaved relative, or a stranger on the track. It wasnt who I imagined at all: Needing a blood test, I reluctantly entered the Soltas Lab waiting room packed w interesting people. The girl called me back, & said, Im a student; do you mind if I draw blood? I noticed she was foreign & likely a non-Christian. To her horror, her stick did not yield blood (I never look). I told her it was OK; try the other arm. To her horror, no blood again (Im still not looking). Completely distraught now, I tried to encourage her (& not faint). Her mentor came in who was clearly of Middle-Eastern faith & apologized profusely. I smiled (not looking) & encouraged both of them. Although she was not allowed to do stick #3, I told her she could have. They both looked at me w amazement. The Light in me was shining, & these 2 women saw Him. He spoke words of comfort, encouragement, reassurance, & kindness thru me. As I walked out (w 2 big bruises), I was thankful I didnt faint (they moved the needle a lot), & I thanked the Lord for using me as a witness for Him. The cross around my neck reminded me Whose I am, but today, they knew it too.
