Beard , Sunnah , Grow It To my brothers in Islam who are thinking about growing a beard...it is HARAM to shave I will just quote only one hadith to support though there are many hadith to show that shaving is haram. This hadith is a commandment of Allah SWT and Prophet Muhammad Sallallahu Alaihi Wassalam Allahu Akbar you cant defy your RAB and Prophet. You are waging a losing war Naudhubillah. Consider the following incident recorded by Imam Ibn Kathir in his al-Bidaya wa al-Nihaya, Imam al-Tabari in his Tarikh and Imam Ibn al-Athir in his al-Kamil fi al-Tarikh:“When the Messenger of Allah (Allah bless him & give him peace) wrote a letter to the King of Persia (kisra) inviting him to Islam, he (kisra) tore the latter apart and then sent two of his people to the Messenger of Allah (Allah bless him & give him peace). When they entered onto the Messenger of Allah (Allah bless him & give him peace), their beards were shaven and they had grown a big moustache, the Messenger of Allah (Allah bless him & give him peace) disliked to even look at them, and said; “Who commanded you to do this? They replied that their Lord (kisra) had ordered them to do so. The Messenger of Allah (Allah bless him & give him peace) said, “But my Lord has ordered me to shorten my moustache and lengthen my beard….” (al-Bidaya Wal-Nihaya, 4/269/270) Do any of the conscious muslim would want to die in the state of haram? ? But if a man has shaven his beard he his constantly in haram even when he is in salah Allahu Akbar Let it grow! Let it flow! Dont you want to be like our Prophet Muhammad (salallahu alayhi wasalam)? Dont you want to be like Abu Bakr(Radi Allahu anhu) and Umar( Radi Allahu anhu) and the rest of the companions Join the rightly guided muslim men who are trimming their moustaches and allowing their beards to grow. They seek nothing but to be like the messenger of Allaah (salallahu alayhi wasalam) and the pleasure of Allah and be rewarded by Allah in sha Allah tala It isnt difficult, all you have to do is... NOTHING! Just leave it and let it grow! Sisters you have a big part to play in this.
