Bears Maul Cheetahs As Captain Cooper led out the Bears the - TopicsExpress

Bears Maul Cheetahs As Captain Cooper led out the Bears the spectators rose to welcome them onto the field and they only sat down some 30 minutes and 14 tries later. The Bears had to tackle strongly early on with Tom leading the way with a display of technique any NRL player would be proud of. He was ably supported by Ash and Liam who helped turn the ball over so the Bears could attack. Bryson scored a brilliant long range try that saw him step and weave his way past every Cheetahs player ( some twice ). Oliver converted the try and the Bears were on the score board. The Bears then scored back to back tries to Mitch and Jamie who both also kicked the conversions. Offloads from the Bears then become contagious as Oliver ,Cooper, Tom and Ash all slipped good passes that led to tries to Mitch, Reid(2) and Jamie. Jack Flash didnt need any passes as he swooped on a dropped ball on the Bears try line and then ran the length of the field to score a superb try. Reid converted and the siren rang to finish the game and to give the scoreboard attendant a well earned rest. Next week there is no game due to the long weekend and Coach Butch has called off training for this Wednesday. Training will resume on Wed 11th June.
