She was just as precious to her dad and to her family as my daughter Emily is...this is also dedicated to the 437 children of Gaza who were murdered in the recent attacks on Gaza... they were all precious....I was raised in the culture of Zionism, I was raised with the idea that everything Israel was good and everything about the Arabs was bad... I was president of the Zionist youth group, and member of 2 others... I worked in Israel... it wasnt until several years ago I became really fed up with all of the bad news coming fro Israel that I made the decision that I wanted to educate myself thoroughly about the situation. I felt that I had a pretty good background, but I decided to read everything I could get my hands on and speak to everyone who had personal knowledge on both sides of the situation. I though that every expectation that what would result was that my commitment to Israel would deepen... and thats absolutely not what happened.... what did happen was that I was shocked to realize I had been lied to all my life by my cynagog, my family, my Jewish community,... they were lied to as well. Ive come to understand that I had been supporting something all of my life that I never would have supported if I had been told anything resembling the truth.... theres an element th...ats missing about the Israel Palestine conflict... there was an original sin... nationalist Zionism sought to take land from that had a 95% non Jewish population on it and make it into a Jewish exclusive state and it accomplished this through massacres, campaigns of fear and military mass expuslion... more at vimeo/6630724
