Because I have a giant need to be loved, I am extracting the paragraph in which I get a mention, but this great blog post gets right to the heart of everything I love about The Best Show: Calls from Newbridge alone would make the Best Show a can’t miss proposition, but as often the case, fiction has nothing on real life. The Best Show has, over the years, cultivated an audience of loyal (if periodically demented and incomprehensible) group of callers to alternatively torment and delight Tom. Regular listeners quickly learn to love (and hate to love) regular callers like Spike, Laurie from Miami, Pastor Josh, Larry Da Perv, Dave from Knoxville, Jason from Huntsville, Fredericks, Wally Wackiman (a puppet), Auntie Laurie, the Jelloman and many more.
