Because I was so excited about my Chromebook initially, I think I need to offset it with this (6 months later): 1. The monitor randomly blinks and the computer shuts itself off while Im typing 4-6x per day. A quick internet search yielded thousands of occurrences of this same problem, which appears to be a wiring issue for the power button. 2. The unit is still under a manufactures warranty with HP. Four hours in calls to their service center and two escalations yielded scheduling a tech to come out who never showed up today. 3. When I called about the no-show, I was told I had two options: 1) Take the unit (purchased at Office Depot) to Best Buy and have them fix it. Then HP will supposedly reimburse me for the repairs in 8-12 weeks; 2) write a pleading letter stating that I use the unit for business and ask that it be replaced and you know, maybe theyll do that if they are feeling generous. Apparently you can make a $300 laptop that runs 12 browser windows without losing speed, but if it breaks in the first six months, well thats just the price you pay. I will never buy another HP made product and would highly recommend you dont either.
