Because of Maria Dowds AFRICAN AMERICAN WOMEN ON TOUR (AAWOT), I was able to spend 12 awesome years as a motivational speaker across the nation with the likes of Gladys Knight, Iyanla Vanzant, Dr. Maya Angelou, Susan Taylor, Shirley Caesar, Debbie Allen, Terri McMillan, Dr. Coretta Scott King, Cathy Hughes, Dr. Bernce King, Bev Smith, Nikki Giovanni, Dr. Mae Jemison, Lorraine Toussaint, Lynn Whitfield, Queen Latifah, Alice Walker, Sonia Sanchez, Julianne Malveaux, Phylicia Rashād and so many more. Maria Dowd and Gods grace on my life allowed me to meet them, introduce them and together we all shared our stories, messages of empowerment, great memories of sisterhood, networking, cultural celebration and many glorious moments that continue to bless my soul. Saturday, November 22, I will be in Carson, CA speaking again to empower women in attendance at the Carson Community Center along with some awesome dynamic authors and speakers.
