Been reflecting tonight. I can tell which machine is beeping and what the beep means, all by sound. If you see a sign Call nurse before entering thats not good nor is the isolation cart parked outside a room. You can tell when someone sets off their bed alarm by the sound of feet running down the hall. I know the sound of the flight for life helicopter. I know the secret code to the ice/water room. You really do become like family with some of the nurses and CNAs. There are some amazing men and women working here. I know most of RJs meds by heart (keep everything in a notebook) and we are very fortunate. Very fortunate. People have asked how I am taking care of myself and I decided that I am not. My other kids are taking care of me so I can take care of RJ (along with his dad of course ). Mike takes care of my beloved GSPs. The kids take turns coming to the hospital to see RJ and take me off grounds to eat. I really should by stock in Chipolte. I could keep going but lastly I am amazed at the life Team RJ has taken on and thinking how to sustain that synergy to pay it forward when our challenge is over. Goodnight Team RJ!
