Before I joined R+F as a consultant in May 2014, I had this negative perception of what “type” of person did network marketing, what it was all about (read: being part of a cult of sorts), found the idea of “selling to my friends/family” just appalling & thought all the success stories I heard were a big lie. Until... until I saw my sweet friend, Charla Barrett’s, success story unfold before my eyes. Well, 8 months later, I can admit that I was totally wrong about ALL of it: 1) Re: “The KIND of person who did network marketing.” From Tish Cyrus (Miley’s mama) who could get ANY top skincare line for free, or Christian recording artists like Nicole C. Mullen, dentists, lawyers, CEOs, physicians, stay-at-home moms and more, I now know that the only “type” of person who does network marketing is one who thinks outside of the box, who has a different vision for their life and is SMART (even WARREN BUFFET, who owns Pampered Chef, GETS what network marketing is all about). 2) Re: “Being part of a cult.” If a bunch of savvy entrepreneurs collectively sharing their passion about products that they believe in and a legitimate business model that works, then call me a very happy cult member. That being said, I am not the type to do “drunk off the koolaid,” (I challenge and question EVERYTHING), so if these products didn’t work for me, friends & family, I wouldn’t be sharing them with you. 3) Re: “Selling to my friends/family.” Selling has this horrible connotation of putting one’s own interest above another’s & duping people to buy “snake oil,” a product that is touted for being able to solve challenges but that does nothing more than separate a customer from his money. This couldn’t be further from what R+F is all about. At R+F, we don’t sell; we SHARE real before & afters of skin transformations and have seen such tremendous growth because the products work for most people. & in the rare instance that they don’t work, your consultant will happily insist that you return...
