Before I was saved, I used to judge myself by my own set of laws. (Because apparently I thought Gods ten commandments werent sufficient.) There were five things that if I didnt do, it meant that I was a good person and headed for Heaven. Of course, these were things I had no interest in doing at the time and was really judgmental about others committing. But I became rebellious and started breaking my own laws. At first I justified it, of course. But as I broke them more and more, I began to realize that I wasnt a good person. And eventually I realized that I was headed for Hell. I knew I needed a Savior. I entered into a seven month religious period and then I got saved, by the grace of God. Laws show our condemnation. The Gospel gives us Life.
