Belle was adopted just over a month ago after being hit by a car one week prior. Dr. Lindman took some initial radiographs and found multiple pelvic fractures and a femoral (the big bone in the thigh) fracture. Belle was unable to stand with her injuries. She was put on pain medications and Dr. Lundberg operated on her broken leg a few days later. The pelvic fractures will likely heal on their own with strict rest. Today, Belle is walking around, wagging her tail and feeling much better. We expect her to continue to improve as her injuries complete the healing process. For such a little thing, Belle sure is one tough girl!
