Beloved folks and fans," i wish to use this medium to inform you all of two of my latest radio outings on Radio Nigeria Enugu, broadcast to over 10 million potential listeners. The theme was on NO MUSIC DAY,which was a day set aside for muting the radio stations on music in protest of the injustice and the lack of structure militating against the development of talent, creativity and intellectual work. It was fierce, it was no joke it had The Governor of Performing Musicians Association of Nigeria,PMAN Enugu Chapter,The PRO PMAN,The Ceo of Coal City Carnival Ltd,and MAHANSA as guests. A lot of people have been wondering why our works are not out in the market yet ever since we started to date. I wish to use this medium to rebroadcast the salient points. 1. Piracy has grown bigger despite the campaign against it. 2. The greater %tage of the buying population in Nigeria is totally ignorant of Piracy and the consequences on creative works. 3. The gate crashers in the creative scene in Nigeria , who think it is an all comers affair over the years have made it so filthy and contributed in the corruption of the media by giving bribes to radio presenters and Djs to provide unworthy content, yet aired to the public in the name of commercialising and yet destroying the psyche, the morals and ethics of our land of which we are ripping the ill effects now, amongst all ,widespread teenage pregnancy, without a corresponding provision from the Federal or State Governments to accommodate the victims of these vices. 4.The instutionalized corruption of corporate organs to recognise and impose these questionable brands on the people of Nigeria,by way of double standards. We patronise your products and you endorse the vices on our land. Please Note: The real creative people pay a price with their lives, health, family system in most cases to be able to come up with materials for the advancement of the society. They are not paid salaries, they do not earn pensions, there is no provision for them by the Government to even survive, the media, plays foreign content, but to air their works, they are asked to give bribes caused by the wannabes, who no one knows how they get money to pay their ways to get their works out there. Do not be deceived by the hype of renting posh cars and champagne in the videos, they are all false life. There is no structure on the ground. Some of these people are so impressionable that they believe all they see on the screen. Then the Corporate Organs get these performing artistes and not musicians to come on stage and mime to their music, played back to you and paid huge sums of money. What rip off is bigger than this. A real concert should have an artiste on stage for at least one hour thirty minutes on stage. How many of these can stay for such a duration alone as a brand on stage? It is always a mix up of the same brand. Are you not all bored yet of all this? Again the real musicians young and old are rendered irrelevant by these organisers there by making it seem all you see and hear today is the best from Nigeria. I WISH TO CATEGORICALLY TELL YOU ALL THAT WHAT YOU HAVE IS NOT AND CANNOT BE THE BEST FROM HERE. I wish to use this medium to address YOU all my beloved to report any pirate to the Nigerian Copyright Commission, charge the corporate organs to give you real content, stay away from illegal mix tapes and Mp3 compilations. Not only are they frustrating creativity but they are contributing to unemployment. The musicians ,the session men are out of jobs, most events are covered by Djs,yes easy, but monotonous. If you think music is so easy and for lazy people, try playing the wooden block(ekwe) for just 3mins in a session and see for yourself. Thank you my beloved for your time, and i do hope you understand where we are coming from. Let us collectively save creativity and our society"....MAHANSA
