Beware of card fraud phone scams ... these seem to be getting more common...... A colleague was called by a person allegedly from the fraud dept of a major department store to advise that someone was using his card in store to buy two Rolex watches... he was then told to immediately put the phone down and call his card company to report the fraudulent activity on his card and get it stopped. The idea is that they keep the line open ...pretend to be the card issuing bank and then get you to confirm all card details in order to use the card. Luckily it didn’t work here and a call to the department stores fraud dept from a different telephone line confirmed that there was no employee of that name!
