Bible Etc. June 22, 2014 I am committed daily to reading daily from the Old Testament; also from the New; something from the Qur’an; and a hadith. And, I am posting daily comments on Facebook. OT Reading the CEV (Contemporary English Version) in course. Psalm 19. The heavens keep telling the wonders of God. The law of the LORD is perfect and gives us new life. NT now reading in course. Acts 8:2-25. Saul/Paul persecutes the church and people scatter. Phillip preaches in Samaria, casts out demons, and heals the sick. When the apostles in Jerusalem hear the people have accepted the word of God, they send Peter and John, who lay on hands and they receive the Holy Spirit. Simon was a magician. He wanted to purchase the power of healing that the apostles had. Qur’an 9:94-99. God watches your actions now, and in the end you will be returned to the One who knows the seen and the unseen. The statement “seen and unseen” is also seen in the Bible in Colossians 1:16. Some desert Arabs are hypocrites, and some follow God and his messenger. Hadith. Sahih Al-Bukhari. Book 4. Now I am 82# under my gross maximum of 290#, and there still remain 28# of fat and blubber to get to my goal of 180#. I have accomplished 77% of goal, with 23% remaining. This is my 182nd day of Royal Canadian Air Force exercises so on the second chart, I am finally on level D-. I should have done 12 sit-ups, but only did eleven. So, I need to do 12 for ten consecutive days to ad advance to the next level. I will spend 12 minutes on the elliptical trainer. Yesterday had coffee on the porch of Coffee and Cream and spent a couple of hours with the church open. Did a bulletin and a children’s sermon, and was a guest for a home cooked meal. Yummy. Today church and more church, see Addie, Skype with Marji, and shape note singing. Everyone who reads this is invited to Addie and my 31st wedding anniversary on Wed.
