Bill Courtney a Coaches Message.... I have a new Hero....Manassas High School North Memphis Footbal coach, Bill Courtney. I know a lot of the younger kids wont have the patience to watch this video, but what this coach has to say, and his philosophies, are astoundIng. He took a longtime, winless organization, with troubled student athletes, and created a powerful, inspirational group of life winners. The foundation has got to be a solid platform that you can stand on and speak to these kids and say this is the way you build yourself. If you build yourself this way and you handle yourself this way, and have character, you get to play football. And winning will take care of itself, because young men of character and discipline, and commitment end up winning in life, and they end up winning in football. But when you flip it, and the foundation you have is football, and then you hope all that other stuff follows, well then, you think football builds character. Which it does not. Footbal REVEALS character. I also like what he has to say about the fact that hes never seen a coach score a touchdown. This is a coach that takes no credit, desires no credit and tries to make everyone around him better. I think a lot of coaches could learn a lot from this great, devoted man. UNDEFEATED.
