Birds have deep rooted feelings, and are more intelligent than - TopicsExpress

Birds have deep rooted feelings, and are more intelligent than people think they are. What makes scientists think that humans are so darn smart anyway? Unfortunately, human scientists measure intelligence by strictly human standards, which are completely skewed; in other words, our intelligence tests are based solely on perceptions of humanity! Four wild wrens recently hatched in a flower pot on our porch - the day after they hatched the four chicks woke me up in the morning - they were trying to get in to my bedroom because they were scared of their new world and couldnt find their biological mother - I then realized that they knew I had protected them when they were in the nest, as I simultaneously watched their development - I also realized they had formed a bond with me, and tried every way they could to get in to my bedroom, where they saw me sleeping - in fact, they woke me up that morning, chirping, pecking, and prying away - I had no curtains drawn over a large glass window at the head of my bed, so they could all see me in my bedroom - one chick even tried to get through the crack under the bedroom door to the patio - they hung out on my patio, outside my bedroom, for a couple of days before I saw them feeding in the yard, and flying into the trees (which we have plenty of here). Is this amazing or what? Birds are truly divine and intelligent creatures. Humans have a lot to learn from the animal world. We are the students, while animals are the teachers, the way I see it!
