#BlackLivesMatter does not negate the importance of white lives. Its all inclusive. White lives matter. Asian lives matter. Black lives matter. Those who have an issue with the hashtag are really not understanding what life looks like for minorities. From this side. Because of how I look, Ive been asked, sarcastically, if Im black. Because of how I look, I have been denied by some who I would call my own. Im am a Latina. Black, white, Taina. Daughter, sister, mother, lover, friend, family to those who are undeniably black. Genetically, I could have turned out dark and curly haired. This is how my genetic roll of the dice manifested itself. It makes me no less aware of my culture, my heritage, the legacy of my people and ancestors. I feel what my people feel. Because I am all, I have love for all. Descent humans who strive for a better future for ours, are my people. I am against no type of person other than the racist of any shade. If you come at me sideways because of my views, youre revealing more about yourself, than you are about me.
