Bmw m5 1999T for sale. Here we have my 1999 T reg (personal plate on car but will be sold with it) Bmw m5 for sale. I have owned it for 3.5 years now but i just fancy a change. I test drove quite a few m5s before i bought this particular car. I bought it from a garage down in Doncaster. Specifications :- shadow chrome finish alloy wheels xenon headlights Privacy glass tv sat nav built in telephone including handsfree multi function steering wheel cruise control digital dual climate control rear parking sensors rear electric sun blind tracker standard alarm and immobilisor two tone (black/grey) heated electric memory interior traction control Electric sunroof all usual m5 refinements I do have the original bill of sale for the car, which was orginally bought from Bowkers Bmw for £67, 950! I am the third owner of it. I was told by the garage i bought it from that the cars previous 2 owners were from the same family. After 2-3 months ownership of the car, it developed a misfire, which was diagnosed as a vanos fault. The vehicle was recovered down to Mr Vanos in Darlington for a full vanos overhaul. At this time the following parts were also replaced :- Genuine bmw water pump, new spark plugs, fuel filter, both rocker cover gaskets, thermostat c/w sealing ring, 3x timing chain tensioners, both auxilary drive belts, genuine bmw antifreeze was used, oil and filter. This cost me a total of £2650 including having it recovered down to his garage. To be honest, i did not grudge this because i would rather of bought this car which developed the misfire, instead of buying another one and discovering it was on V-car register or something similiar! The garage where i bought it replaced all the brake discs and pads just before i bought it. The car is fitted with the genuine floating bmw brake discs. I have replaced various other parts in the time ive owned it, including both lower rear hub wishbone bushes, a camshaft sensor, rear parking sensor, both lower front suspension arms, 4x anti roll bar links. The car is totally standard apart from an stainless steel exhaust modification, which was carried out by Turriff Tyres in Aberdeenshire. Sounds awesome!! It gives a V8 burble low down which changes to a nice rip higher up the rev range, it definitely turns heads ;) I do still have the original exhausts which will be included in the sale. Bad points :- o/s door mirror glass is fairly loose but both the housing and the glass is complete, it does still electrically operate but gradually falls down. Kidney grills have been painted black but are peeling and could do with replacing or repainting. Wheels are 14 years old and presentable but if you would like them concourse, they would benefit from a refurb. Both front lower ball joint boots are perished. This is listed as an advisory on the mot certificate. There is no play on the ball joints though. Small patch of rust around boot release button underneath edge (above rear number plate), this has not broke the paint surface as yet. The front wheel arch liners could do with 3 or 4 new clips either side to secure them to the wings where the mudflap would fit, if it had mudflaps fitted. The car is now 15 years old with a sensible mileage but in my opinion it is a very clean honest example (compared to some i viewed before hand!). It goes like it should and drives like it should, with ample power and comfort. It will even deliver 25mpg if driven nicely on a motorway run. Any questions, please ask! Viewing recommended :) No swops or part exchanges. £6750. Car is located in Montrose.
