Bobbie needs some suggestions: “Ive just taken over a 2nd/3rd grade combo. The second grade students are not very independent and all students have pretty much had free reign if the class up until this point. My issue is that they do not pay attention or listen, even when I give them signals to stop, freeze, eyes on me and open ears. They miss steps and continue to ask questions about the information that was just delivered. How I get them to have better focus, pay attention, and actually listen to verbal directions and communication?”
