Born of a father who was a Disco DJ and sound system pioneer in 1970s/80s Vancouver, DJ Bombus was always exposed to the best sonic treats. Since the mid 2000‘s, from house parties to outdoor festivals, he has been inspired by and inspiring sweaty dance floors. His music selection is driven by the desire to animate the party; to see, feel, and experience those moments of joy that accompany good music. The name Bombus comes from the Latin name for the bumble bee family. Phatn fuzzy, Pollinating the dance floor with a mixture of funk, soul, disco, house, electro rock, hip hop, whomp, and glitch bass music to achieve ecstatic dancing bliss! Performance highlights include Shambhala Music Festival, BassCoast Project, Bassick Parties, Workless Party parties, Mid 2000 Velo Fusion, and countless other East Vancouver shindigs.
