Born and raised my entire life in Texas. Spent my childhood in downtown Dallas on top of my familys restaurant. Spent my teen years in north Dallas coming of age on the famous Forest Lane cruise strip. Spent large parts of my childhood in Fort Worth staying at my grandparents house in the summers and holiday breaks on a 24 acre spread just minutes from downtown on theTrinity River which my mom and aunts still own. Growing up so near to metropolitan areas, its almost ironic that Ive always said that the last place I would want to live in Texas is Houston. I dont hate the city, its just unappealling to me. Having said that, after numerous trips across and all over the state , selling insurance with my dad in the 90s, I found two cities that totally charmed me and I could probably retire there if I had the money. Bandera or Brenham Texas. Now if my choice was to live in another state or Houston, Id gladly move down south. You aint never gettin me out of Texas. If you had to move from the town you live in right now, where else in Texas do you wish you could live and what city has always kind of called to you?
