Both Panditjee and Sardar Patel were two colossuss who strode across the firmament of the Indian Sub Continent. The individual contributions of both these leaders were immense. and both added great dignity to the political scape at that time . To compare their individual contributions to the nation in a biased manner is trite, gross and ridiculously silly and is indeed belittling the contributions of these great leaders who served the nation with utmost sincerity and conviction . These leaders belong to India and cannot be confined to any particular ideology or any party. It is indicative of the narrow thinking of todays national leaders who could or would like to use them for their narrow political advantage .India could indeed do with more mature thinking rather than the churlish debate currently taking place in the corridors of power simply to garner votes by using their names for this purpose- when in fact we and the leaders should be trying to follow their ideals which would make for a better political character .
