Bountiful boughs: Dismantling Christmas means a many stepped process of letting go. 16 trips to the Optimist tree lot for boughs means they come down gradually. Boughs in the bathrooms, boughs in hallway, bedrooms upstairs and downstairs, foyer, vestibule, breezeway, on the steps, on the counter, in the living room, front porch and back, planters and below the deck. Oh my, to be boughless. Then it is onto the trees; trees at the end of the driveway blown over by the wind, trees on the front porch, planters, living room and basement bedrooms and tree house. Oh, my, what do you call the huge boughs made into a tree? Love the smell and the wintery beauty.
