(BoxingTalk - Can we FINALLY end the Mayweather vs Pacquiao talks now)?: Every time Ive been asked about this fight I say two things: DONT listen to the words of either party....instead WATCH THEIR ACTIONS. Ive tried to walk the middle grounds on this topic, but today, I have to call someone out on this one for blatant deceit. When pressed about the fight, we hear Top Rank and Team Pacquiao (as well as Pacquiao) say we want the Mayweather fight and it will happen, but as soon as the questions stop, we see actions that rarely support such a position. Within the past 10days weve seen Steven A. Smith, Skip Bayless, and many others say Mayweather is avoiding Pacquiao, despite no actual attempts from Pacquiaos people to negotiate the fight. As if thats not bad enough, I have now received confirmation that Pacquiao is in fact headed south to the 140lb division where he has several fights to pursue before closing out his career (and thats a DIRECT QUOTE). Think about this for a second: Pacquaio is about to require a 140lb fighter (Chris Algieri) who has NEVER fought as a welterweight to come UP to 144lbs; then in his very next fight, go down to the division that this same opponent calls home (140lbs). How can this action be justified with intent to face Mayweather? Particularly when Mikey Garcia is said to be next. Can we finally end this discussion once and for all and move on? They clearly want NO PART of the fight for whatever reason, so stop saying it and move on, ladies & gents. #TalkToMe #FightFans
