Boys started Cub Scouts tonight. Im pretty Excited for them. They are both stoked. Im excited that the basis of the program is to teach respect towards others, respect towards yourself, to be kind, problem solve, independence, awareness and the opportunity to become self sufficient all while involving GOD. Im super happy about the fact that GOD is a part of the teachings. I want my boys to play sports and all that good stuff but I feel like this will be a great opportunity for them to learn to be a good teammate, friend, opponent, etc. I thought about being a Den Mother...but I would need a different uniform bc Im not wearing that and I dont do good with bugs so the whole outside thing w camping and stuff having to do all that bug involved critter crap kinda killed that idea. However....Ill volunteer and thatll be perfect. No uniform. Not on bug adventures. No fire starting for me. And everyone gets to live. Lol.
