Brads Story - Country Roads Need Safer Drivers Brad was a young footballer for the Willunga Demons Football Club. In 1990, after another successful game in which he was named best-on-ground, Brad attended a dance with his girlfriend. Driving home in the early hours of the morning, Brad fell asleep at the wheel of his car. He emerged from a coma after 4 months, having suffered permanent brain damage. He has never played football again. His parents, Trish and Dean, care for Brad every day and say he serves as a reminder to all members of the footy club and the wider community to always take care on the roads.
