Brazilian President Calls for a Better Future and Denies Regression Rio de Janeiro, Oct 20 (Prensa Latina) Brazilian President Dilma Rousseff today asked citizens to support her proposal for change and a better future, and to say no at the polls to a regression in the country. As part of a tour in the streets of the town of Nova Iguacu, on the west side of this city, Rousseff said the next 26 October people must choose between two projects: one that supports employment and wages, and another that will generate unemployment and pay cuts. Unlike Social Democracy (PSDB), represented by candidate Aécio Neves, the proposal of the Workers Party (PT) places man at the center of everything and does not consider it a merchandise to profit from without respect. If re-elected on Sunday, I will continue working to improve the lives of the family, she said noting that she is not the candidate of bankers nor businessmen. Once completed her journey, the Head of State will travel to Sao Paulo, where she will attend a meeting with youth and she will give a press conference afterwards. In this context, a poll conducted by MDA revealed that Rousseff has 45.5 percent of vote intention, compared to 44.5 percent obtained by Neves, facing elections next Sunday. These data show a technical tie between the two contenders, due to the margin of error of about 2.2 percentage points. MDA interviewed two thousand and two voters last weekend. sgl/lvd/mgt/lgo Modificado el ( lunes, 20 de octubre de 2014 )
