Bring On The Metal blog has some good things to say about "World Keeps Sinking": "Despite how they may sound on the surface, Northless manages to pack a lot of music into their sound, switching from frenetic hardcore, to stoner metal, to even progressive rock within what seems like a heartbeat, but its balanced and managed like a charm. Everything here is the work of a band that is extremely dedicated to what they do, and Northless’s performances echo that statement with ease. Dissonant tones crackle all through doom-laden riffs and walls of impenetrable noise with a subtle sense of technicality, and the result is absolute thick music. Everything is written well enough to allow everything to sink right in and take its form, and the sound mix appropriately reflects all of that in the process. Vocals are a bit of a hit or miss as they can often come across as either terrifying or pretentious, and I do think some tracks cut have been edited, but even then it’s hard to deny that Northless put a lot of work into this album, and that their work shines out as one of the stronger underground releases of the year."
