British PM David Cameron and the UK government once again flexing the muscles of secular fundamentalism to try and force-feed Muslims in Britain liberal, secular values have drawn up a tightened definition of Islamic extremism as well as new anti-terror civil orders (known as TEBOs), similar to Anti-Social Behaviour Orders (ASBOs) to deal with those who advocate it, including preventing them from entering mosques and community centres. This is part of their tightened definition of Islamic extremism - This is a distinct ideology which should not be confused with traditional religious practice. It is an ideology based on a distorted interpretation of Islam which betrays Islams peaceful principles and draws on the teachings of the likes of Sayyid Qutb....Islamist extremists deem Western intervention in Muslim majority countries as a War on Islam, creating a narrative of them and us. They seek to impose a GLOBAL ISLAMIC STATE GOVERNED BY THEIR INTERPRETATION OF SHARIAH AS STATE LAW, rejecting liberal values such as democracy, the rule of law and equality. Their ideology also includes the uncompromising belief that people cannot be Muslim and British..... Looks like UK local authorities are going to be extremely busy issuing TEBOs as the definition once again brushes thousands of Muslims in the UK with the label of extremists (not to forget millions of Muslims across the world) who hold these exact beliefs which are not part of a distorted interpretation of Islam but fundamental tenets of orthodox Islamic religious beliefs. Visiting China at the moment, Cameron must be savouring the opportunity to pick up handy-tips from the authoritarian Chinese government about how to repress religious minorities as well as suppress the personal convictions of people and the right to think for themselves. As Muslims in Britain we must keep firm to our Islamic beliefs in these difficult times and refuse to submit to these intimidatary bully-boy fear tactics aimed at pressuring us to compromise the expression of our Islamic values and opinions. This latest chapter in the endless campaign of Western secular government to create a brave new world of secular clones who think the same by targeting, marginalising, and demonising anyone who does not accept their viewpoint in life simply exposes further that they are unwilling and unable to engage in an honest, open debate about what type of ideology, values, and system is able to effectively and justly fulfill the needs and organise the affairs of humanity. Its further proof that they have surrendered in the intellectual battle of ideas between secularism and Islam.
