Brussels was absolutely incredible. Its London on steroids. A massive, truly international city. 50% of the population are people who were born in another country, whilst 30% are Muslims. Nearly everybody speaks French and Flemish (A distinct dialect of Dutch) and English. Many are quadrilingual-German is often used and spoke/understood widely, and some of those from Arab countries or elsewhere are even Pentilingual! The Parliament itself was huge-Much bigger than Westminster. Its quite a tourist attraction. Its only when youre actually there that you start to appreciate the European Project. Belgian people are very friendly, naturally being a very diverse country. Ive decided that I will make it my ultimate goal to work in the European Parliament.
