Bubonic Plague (The Black Death) has resurfaced in our county - TopicsExpress

Bubonic Plague (The Black Death) has resurfaced in our county again. Fleas on furry critters. First it was the prairie dogs, now its prairie dogs and rabbits. The prairie dogs are a block away and can stay there. The rabbits, on the other hand, live in colonies under my 40 foot shipping container in the backyard. Normally I wont shoot anything I dont plan on eating, but this is different, this is for safety. Time to Cull the Herd. I dont know how old my Glenfield mod 60 .22 is (that I bought for 10 bucks in 1973), but it still works just fine. Loaded up 15 CCI Stinger Hollow Points and sat on my back porch. Didnt have to wait long. 2 in the field about 50 yards away. 1 shot, 1 dead rabbit. 2nd one ran about 10 feet. 2nd shot, 2nd dead rabbit. I see no more and go to pick them up with plastic trash bags. (It get morbid from here) They didnt suffer, thats for sure! CCI Stingers are varmint loads. I expected a small entry wound and an maybe a quarter size exit wound. Canoed is the best description I can come up with. From mid-shoulder (where I was aiming) up and mid-shoulder down. Yup, canoed. And splatter streaks. A definitive case of overkill. I was amazed! Good job CCI ammo company! 2 down, 13 shots left............. https://youtube/watch?v=wGhQ2BDt4VE
