Buffalo Gap Historic Village has 20 buildings with everything from the original County Court House and Jail, to an early Service Station, a school, a church, a printing shop, a blacksmiths building, a train station, a bank, post office, barber shop, doctors and dental office, and the home of the marshal, plus more and the ages range from 1887 to 1925. The first picture didnt have any info but the base with 1887 appears to be the base of a tombstone and although smaller than I would have thought a buffalo skull. The next photo is of the Marshals home and if you look closely you will see the post that helps support the long branch on the old mesquite tree in front of the house. The next photo is of the Wagon Barn (I have photos from the inside on a separate post). I love the old street light although it is from a later era. Just to prove that some Texas brags are true *things are bigger in Texas ~ this is just one of several very large thornless prickly pears at the village. If you look closely you can see the pears which will turn bright red later in the summer and can be picked and made into jelly which I have done. The last photo is another large prickly pear and there is an old grinding wheel on the ground below it.
