Burglary On Tuesday, December 2, 2014, at approximately 8:40 A.M. a deputy from the Cabazon Station was dispatched to the Cherry Valley Feed Store, located at 39245 Vineland St., Cherry Valley, in reference to two subjects burglarizing the business. The business’ security cameras revealed two suspects in a possibly silver-colored, 2000’s model, Ford Focus four-door vehicle, arrived at the store at approximately 5:40 A.M. and threw a rock through the business’ front door. The two suspects entered the business and removed the cash register and credit card reader from within before driving away from the location. The business video footage was uploaded onto Facebook by one of their employees. The Cabazon Station Investigations Bureau received several leads from the public as a result of the social media posting. The resulting investigation of the leads identified 19-year-old Cherry Valley resident Nathaniel Triplett, as one of the suspects involved in the incident. Triplett was in custody at the Smith Correctional Facility for an unrelated crime when investigators from the Cabazon Station interviewed him. Information obtained from the interview led investigators to file a charge of 459 PC, Burglary, on Triplett for his involvement in the burglary at the Cherry Valley Feed Store. The Riverside County Sheriff’s Department is committed to the safety of the community and the protection of their property and will be vigilant in investigating all crimes of this nature. The investigation is ongoing and we are reaching out to the public; anyone with information regarding the incident is encouraged to contact Investigator Pierson at the Cabazon Sheriff’s Station at 951-922-7100, or the Riverside County Sheriff’s Dispatch Center (1-800-950-2444), or email the Cabazon Station at Station at [email protected]
