Bush Republican Diplomacy & Policy The Bush War & Government - TopicsExpress

Bush Republican Diplomacy & Policy The Bush War & Government Corruption that Followed I remember Bush claiming Iraq had something to do with 911 then later it was proven they didnt have anything to do with it. This was while Saddam was massacring the Kurdish people and Bush & Cheney were saying Saddam had WMDs. Saddam never denied having them but later after the war it was found they didn’t have any & Bush & Cheney were operating on CIA’s bad Intel. Anyway Bush gave him 48 hours to get out (him and his family) of Iraq or bush was gonna move in. Then came shock and awe where Bush used the entire US arsenal of cruise missiles on Bagdad and (Bush suggested it would be a short war which it turned into a 12 year multi trillion dollar war) While the Bush Republican mismanagement was steadily getting worse and had led to Government Corruption, Lax diplomacy with North Korea- The deal, which the Bush administration had portrayed as a major foreign policy achievement, began slipping away in a dispute over the verification program. North Korea barred international inspectors from the plant. The decision to remove North Korea from the terror list was a dramatic moment for President Bush, who had called the country part of an “axis of evil” and had only reluctantly ordered administration officials to engage in negotiations, saying that the United States had made deals with the nation’s leaders before without winning enough concessions. Fringe benefits for the rich- giving tax cuts to the Rich and Wall-Street during a war! (Since 1952 the Republicans had reduced corporate taxes from 33% to 9% now) These Republican tactics led to a run up of the biggest deficit our nation has ever seen. And I find it very difficult to forgive the Bush era policies when they gave lax restrictions to our financial & Banking Institution’s. With These institutions unleashed it led to so many different financial scandals, predatory lending, the housing scandals, the “Madoff Ponzi scheme” and Wall Street overselling derivatives and many more like it. These scandals Sent the United States of America and European union spiraling down into the Biggest Recession since “The Great Depression”. And The Republicans just passed a bill to send us down that very same road again.
