Busy busy busy. Thats how the weekend ended up for the bowlers at Balmoral. Both teams played at home on Saturday. Division 1 played Heywood (lucky Heywood as it was pouring at Heywood but not at Balmoral except for one tiny short & sharp burst that sent us all from the green) and Division Three hosted league leaders Hamilton. Division 1 had a good win and Division Three also managed to get up, knocking off the undefeated Hamilton side. Well done to all involved there were some very close results in both divisions. Thankyou to both Heywood and Hamilton for travelling to Balmoral and I hope you enjoyed your bowls. Members then enjoyed a pooled casserole tea and a social evening. Sunday saw the preliminary rounds of the Mens singles take place. There were some really close games and many were knocked out by only a couple of shots. Shall post some pics of the singles in a couple of days. Good luck to Rusty, Peg Leg, Darcy & Tom who have progressed to the semi final stage which most likely will be held next Sunday.
