Butchers Pond. It was located in West Paterson (now Woodland Park). It was up New Street by Squirrel Wood road. I have fund memories of swimming at the beach. It wood be packed on the weekends. They even had a snack bar too although we would walk up to that little bar to buy other snacks. It was just more exciting going in a bar when you were 13-14 years old. Im talking in the early 60s. At times we would walk over to the high-rocks and across, the low-rocks and swimming there too. Best memory is when I finally was able to swim out to the raft.
