Butte County Cal Fire has confirmed a 10-acre fire is currently burning under high tension power lines near the Rocky Peak/Cherokee-North Folk Lake area near Oroville. There is currently 0% containment as power lines are hampering air operations and access is difficult due to steep terrain. Currently there are three hand crews, one dozer, seven engines, two air tankers, one helicopter, and four tenders. The fire was first reported just before 4 p.m. this afternoon. No evacuations or road closures are anticipated at this time due to the remoteness of the fire.
