By Nick A Marshall....I am not one who usually will put out there my political views and opinions. Those who know me well know that I love our country and all that it stands for. We live in the greatest country ever conceived and delivered by man. Our founding fathers strongly believed in We The People. We have had countless men and women who have fought and died for the very fabric of what our country stand for. Our grandparents and great grandparents came to this great country with hopes a...nd dreams to be something more. As that very meaningful phrase at the base of The Statue of Liberty reads Give me your tired, youre poor, your huddled masses yearning to be free, the wretched refuse of your teeming shore. As the times change so has our great country. Americans used to be proud to rally around the sole principal of being an American. We Pledged Allegiance to the flag, sang our national anthem at events, and publicly prayed together regardless of our religious beliefs. All of which are now frowned upon by some in our society. As Americans, we need to be very grateful for the unique privilege of living in a country who promises protection for the unalienable rights of man, and each of us should be resolutely dedicated to the defense of those rights from enemies both domestic and foreign. Therefore, when you tell me that the American flag should not be displayed because you find it offensive....I say to you...We The People grant you the right to leave this great country of ours!
