| By Peoples Daily Stop eliciting civil war crisis- Group tells Amaechi From Uche Nnorom, Makurdi The socio-political youth group of the Middle Belt Region called the Middle Belt Youth Vanguard has cautioned the Rivers state governor, Rotimi Amaechi saying persistent hurling of abuses on the President Goodluck Jonathan is a dangerous development, which is capable of ridiculing the image of the nation in the eyes of the international community. The group said Amaechi’s utterances are unbecoming of a sitting governor after threatening to form a parallel government come 2015, and now accusing the sitting President of Nigeria of sponsoring Boko Haram terrorist on a day the entire nation is mourning over the Kano blast that killed many worshipers at the Kano Central Mosque. The coordinator of the Middle Belt Region, Simeon O. Elaigwu said there should be moderation in the utterances of the political class on national issues, particularly issues that could whip up sentiments across the divide, warning that the immunity of the office of the governor shouldn’t be abused. “No matter the misunderstanding between Amaechi and the person of President Jonathan, the corporate existence of Nigeria should be respected; Amaechi is over stepping his boundary” He further stated that Nigeria is too big for one individual or group. “We all must protect this country from anyone who wishes to tear it apart for political gains. If Nigeria should break apart in war or political conflicts today, people like Gov. Amaechi will run off with his family. Behind Gov. Amaechi has been making utterances, this time around, his treachery is igniting. Elaigwu said lots of events are setting Nigeria to the part of war, and if nothing is done right now to end the madness, it will be too late, adding that “Nigerians must wake to the realities of things, some politicians care less about Nigeria, but more about their gains. It showed that what Nigerians are passing through in the hands of Boko Haram is nothing to Gov. Amaechi”. “Our conclusion is if Amaechi is targeting any political position in the APC, he shouldn’t put Nigeria corporate existence in danger ,and if Amaechi have any personal problem with the President, he should seek for another way of addressing it, we are warning that Nigeria interest supersede any other person selfish interest” he added.
