By Stephanie Grignon — 1 hour ago Vinnie and little Vin made it down to Milwaukee yesterday. We went to supper and went to the store to get some last minute things for Livvy. We came to the hospital afterward and dropped off Livvys car seat so they could try test to see if she sits in it safely for the ride home. That was about 730pm. She was awake but not crying. This morning we got report that she cried from 730pm until about 5am. They walked her bounced her gave her Tylenol. Passed her to several different nurses. Gave her morphine. Nothing worked. They ended up giving her adivan. It is a medicine to calm you. They gave it to sedate her. We were never called. This upset me. We would have come over at anytime if we knew she was having a hard time. Vince spent the morning with her while I spent time with Vinnie. We went to supper at ihop (thanks Kathy Moe!) and then came back by Livvy. She slept all day with several attempts to wake her. She even slept though her hep B shot. I undressed her and gave her a bath. She was awake for about an hour and the fell back asleep. At about 6 they put us in our own little parent room. I am staying at the hospital tonight. The nurse said I may be able to calm her better than them. Its kind of like if we were at home. The nurse will come do Livvys assessment but then leave us alone the rest of the night. I am responsible for her cares and feedings. We are watching a movie but the guys will leave at 8pm. Im hoping and praying for a good night. Her car seat trial test was passed today. The only reason we are here yet is to watch her for morphine withdrawal and because of her crying. They want to make sure they arent missing something. :( this may delay discharge.
