***Byron Smith Trial now in the hands of the jury*** --Closing arguments were made Tuesday morning in the Byron Smith of Little Falls murder trial in Morrison County District Court. The prosecution concluded their closing arguments at 10:05am after a one hour summation of the case. The audio of the shootings was played again. The defense began their closing arguments at 10:35am. The defense’s closing arguments were concluded by 11:50am. The jury left the courtroom at 12:02pm to begin their deliberations. The jury is sequestered until a verdict is reached. Smith is charged with two counts of first and two counts of second degree murder in the shooting deaths of Haile Kifer and Nick Brady.
