The Calgary Airport Authority is a not-for-profit non share capital corporation, responsible for the management, maintenance, operation and development of the Calgary International Airport and Springbank Airport under a long-term lease from the Government of Canada. The Calgary Airport Authority is undergoing a $2B expansion with the addition of the international terminal, new runway and control tower. This is a busy and exciting time to be a part of the airport team making this a great opportunity for the right candidate. The Role: Reporting to the Director, Operational Readiness, the overall responsibility of this position is to assist in the design and development of drawings that will be used in training documentation and operational plans. The role is responsible for the following duties: 1.Participate and provide assistance with developing drawing solutions. 2.Prepare design documents from conceptual drawings through to detailed construction drawings, specifications, and as-builts for the Terminal Integration projects. Programs such as CADD and 3-D software may be used. 3.Attend site visits and assist in preparing document requirements related to site activities. 4.Provide assistance throughout project process including as-built information, attending project meetings, communications with stakeholders, and other related activities. 5.Updating as-built and record drawings including Architectural, Civil, Mechanical and Electrical using AutoCADD. Basic Requirements: 1.Diploma from a post-secondary program in Interior Design, Architectural, or Engineering Drafting Technology. 2.Excellent working knowledge of AutoCAD, Microsoft Office Suite and Photoshop. 3.Knowledge of construction and as-built drawings, specifications and the relationship between architectural, civil, mechanical and electrical systems within site and building projects. 4.Ability to prepare custom drawings based on verbal description or sketch. 6.Knowledge of applicable building codes. 7.Excellent communication, problem solving, attention to detail and teamwork skills. 8.Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple projects.
