CALLED BY GOD TO BE A PASTOR? Many today claim to that God called them into ministry. Every false prophet and teacher make the same claim. Theres actually the guidelines well established in Timothy. But every pastor thats say God called them will kindly go over those verses, or will try to establish some other rule or egregiously twist the scripture to make it fit the voice of their god. Anything contrary to what scripture says is antichrist -- for it is against, or another Christ. Jesus is the ENTIRE WORD... for He is the living Word of God. John 1:14 And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth. And those that twist and malign, hate the Word because it is... Hebrews 4:12 For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. But there are some that follow the Mother of Harlots... who subtly changes a few words like the serpent did to Eve do disguise its her. Same as Babylon disguises herself as false teachings as real teachings. Proverbs 5:4 But her end is bitter as wormwood, sharp as a twoedged sword. See the little difference that most wont detect? Word of God is sharper than any twoedged sword. Babylons is sharp as a twoedged sword. Small tweak is enough to change the whole meaning. CRITERIA OF BISHOPS 1 Timothy 3:2 A bishop then must be blameless, the husband of one wife, vigilant, sober, of good behaviour, given to hospitality, apt to teach; That cancels out a few happening in the church right there that are not called by God even though theyll say they were. Titus 1:6-7 If any be blameless, the husband of one wife, having faithful children not accused of riot or unruly. 7 For a bishop must be blameless, as the steward of God; not selfwilled, not soon angry, not given to wine, no striker, not given to filthy lucre; There goes a few more, and why I myself am not called to be a bishop, I have a little temper-- count me out of Bishop. I am a watchman on the wall and perfectly glad of Gods decision for that calling. BEHAVED CHILDREN Youll see a few preachers today claiming to be called by God... and God tips the scales to show them they are not... 1 Timothy 3:4 One that ruleth well his own house, having his children in subjection with all gravity; I believe Gods thought process on this is if a bishop cant handle the affairs of his household, how can he handle the affairs of a flock? God even iterated this twice... Titus 1:6 If any be blameless, the husband of one wife, having faithful children not accused of riot or unruly. BEWARE OF THOSE CALLING THEMSELVES PROPHETS OF GOD 2 Peter 1:21 For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost. You see that connotation was before the physical written Word of Jesus was given. The office is not what it was before the fulfillment of the written Word of Jesus. Hebrew 1:1-2 God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets, 2 Hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds; Do you know what a prophet does? They proclaim the Word of the Lord. Now we have the physical written word… the definition of a prophet transitioned into them speaking the deep revelation from the Word… They’re not telling you that this or that is going to happen on this or that date. None of the big self-proclaimed prophets have ever been 100% right and according to scripture – you miss one thing, you’re a false prophet. One thing… Deuteronomy 13:5 And that prophet, or that dreamer of dreams, shall be put to death; because he hath spoken to turn you away from the LORD your God, which brought you out of the land of Egypt, and redeemed you out of the house of bondage, to thrust thee out of the way which the LORD thy God commanded thee to walk in. So shalt thou put the evil away from the midst of thee. Notice the scripture below, all can prophesy from scripture because we all have the Holy Spirit now that reveals(revelation) the Word – notice the words below “learn” and “be comforted.” So these guys talking about a 1000 foot tsunami hitting the east coast, a nuclear attack, blah, blah – that’s not comforting and you’ve learned nothing of scripture. I Corinthians 14:30-32 If any thing be revealed to another that sitteth by, let the first hold his peace. 31 For ye may all prophesy one by one, that all may learn, and all may be comforted. 32 And the spirits of the prophets are subject to the prophets. Now is America in scripture? Absolutely. And everything from DNA to what they’re doing with computer technology is in scripture. The beast, the mark, everything – if you open your heart, the Holy Spirit will “reveal” it to you in prophecy. Or through those that have been gifted with prophecy -- via the Holy Spirits revelation. 1 John 4:1 Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world. Anyone can come along seeking self-aggrandizement saying they’re a prophet of God and can spew any bologna out of their mouth and they will be gone before you have time to check their predictions. – but the prophets of God can show you by the Holy Spirit right in scripture about something coming right then as moved by the Holy Spirit… NOT A LOVER OF MONEY And youll see not give to filthy lucre in the prerequisites for both bishop and deacon, as well as the children. 1 Timothy 3:12 Let the deacons be the husbands of one wife, ruling their children and their own houses well. 1 Timothy 3:8 Likewise must the deacons be grave, not doubletongued, not given to much wine, not greedy of filthy lucre; Double tongued is Joel Olsteen saying there’s many ways to heaven, and then switching gears to cover his tracks on the Larry King Live show. Or Rick Warren standing with proposition 8 against gay marriages, and then it goes out of season and he says he never was for prop 8. Doubletongued – you’ll be on whatever side benefits you at the moment in your speech. So if youre too prideful to honor Gods word because todays social standards are in disagreement -- then you know who called you to Gods ministry... YOURSELF! And Satan probably had a little something to do with it as well. TD Jakes had his 14 year-old child pregnant. Rick Warrens son killed himself. And theres countless other stories of false teachers in churches, mega-churches, and even Franklin Graham getting two DUIs. These bad behaved children usually come from lines of preachers before them. Yes, theres the prodigal son parable -- but I believe thats referring to kids that take off to explore the world and its exotic sins before believing in Jesus in the first place. Could be wrong -- but the ones named above whos kids acted up are all false teachers claiming to be called by God. And Gods showing through their kids among other ways that He did not call them. J ust because a person gets an “urge” or Lord bless them, theyre zealous, don’t make the mistake of thinking God called you to ministry. Let the Holy Spirit lead you to see. If you’re embattled with any of these sins, God’s not calling you in the battle. When Jesus delivers you from that sin before you become a Bishop, you’re cool. And if you sin one of those sins after your office is made sure… repent, move forward with God. The Lord’s is establishing you can’t enter the office embattled in those sins. Thats the Word of God, anyone tries to twist it otherwise, is twisting like what they are... a serpent. God bless and love!
