“CHICKEN, CHICKEN, CHICKEN” – When someone you know and care - TopicsExpress

“CHICKEN, CHICKEN, CHICKEN” – When someone you know and care about loses a loved one, it’s a tough and stressful time for the family. They’re making plans for the homegoing service, talking with insurance company, the funeral home, and coordinating with family members from out of town. They really don’t have time to be in Walmart shopping during this time. Don’t use the blanket statement, “If you need anything please let me know” because most of the time when you say it, you’re praying they don’t take you up on it. Just go ahead and purchase some chicken or something and drop it by the house. There are people coming in and out to comfort the family so whatever you bring will be a blessing. If the person was a member of your church, in your choir, usher board or whatever get some people together and coordinate. Be a blessing to others and prayerfully someone will be a blessing to you during your time of need. Chicken, chicken, chicken… (DC Real Talk #3964)
