CHILDREN’S BREAD & CHILDREN’S CRUMBS The woman was a Greek, a Syrophenician by nation; and she besought him that he would cast forth the devil out of her daughter. But Jesus said unto her, “Let the children first be filled: for it is not meet to take THE CHILDREN’S BREAD, and to cast it unto the dogs.” And she answered and said unto him, “Yes, Lord: yet the dogs under the table eat of THE CHILDREN’S CRUMBS.” And he said unto her, “For this saying, go thy way; the devil is gone out of thy daughter.” (Mark 7:26-29) * PROPHETIC BITES by Moses Hightower These words came unto me, Pray that your motives are made pure in your labor for my name, and then will your visibility of me be clear. Seeing me, who is invisible, will cause you to esteem your sufferings with the people of my name better than the riches of this world. I have touched your eyes with understanding and enlightened you with spiritual perception. Do not be persuaded to attempt the task before you for selfish gain, but be continually led by the Spirit that the spirit of corruption does not plague you. I am leading you and endowing you with grace to labor even when you do not feel like laboring. I am equipping you with all that you need to accomplish every task in the Spirit and by the Spirit. Remember that it is not by might, nor by power, but by my Spirit. * CONFESSION BITES by LWWC Confession Writers I have prayed that my motives are made pure in my labor for the name of the Lord. I am fully persuaded that my visibility of God will be clear. Seeing him, who is invisible, will cause me to esteem my sufferings with the people of his name better than the riches of this world. The Lord has touched my eyes with understanding and enlightened me with spiritual perception. I am not persuaded to attempt the task before me for selfish gain, but I purpose to be continually led by the Spirit that the spirit of corruption does not plague me. Jesus is leading me and endowing me with grace to labor even when I do not feel like laboring. He has equipped me with all that I need to accomplish every task in the Spirit and by the Spirit. I have remembered that it is not by might, nor by power, but by his Spirit. * PROPHETIC INSIGHT by Don Grigsby All the glory goes to Jesus Christ so that no flesh will glory in his presence. Self is the cannibal that is daily devouring himself. Lust is his plate and pride is his spoon and fork. If we deny ourselves and take up our cross, we are free from the killing influences of self. To live life in the realms of our own ego and pride will push us off the edge of the cliff of destruction. We have a refuge in the grace that is given to those who starve self and feed the spiritual man daily.
